What I do

• Interior walls and ceilings. Patched, sanded, caulked, two coats. Furniture moved and covered, floors protected, everything put back.
• Exterior siding and trim. Pressure-washed, scraped, primed where it needs it, then two coats on a dry stretch of weather.
• Doors and trim. The woodwork that makes a room read as finished or not.
• Small cabinet refreshes. A kitchen that looks tired, not a kitchen being rebuilt.

If your job isn’t on that list, call and ask. I’ll tell you honestly if it’s something I do well.

How it works

1. You call or text. I answer, or I call you back the same evening.
2. I come look. Free, no obligation. I’ll tell you honestly if your paint is still good and you don’t need me yet.
3. You get one written price. In writing, before I start. It doesn’t move because I found a surprise behind the trim.
4. I do the work. You don’t pay a dime until you’ve walked through and looked at it.

Why me

I’m Chris, and I paint houses in Amherst and the towns around it. When you call, you deal with me from the estimate through the final walkthrough — not a dispatcher, not whoever’s free that week.

I’d rather do six houses properly than sixty badly. Most of what makes a paint job last is the boring part nobody photographs: scraping, sanding, caulking, priming, waiting for the right day. That part is where I spend my time.

I’m not going to tell you I’ve painted hundreds of houses. I haven’t. I’ll give you references from the ones I have done, and you can call them.

Straight answers

Do I need to repaint, or just think I do?

Exterior paint in Western New York generally lasts eight to twelve years. If yours is sound — no chalking, no peeling, no bare spots — I’ll tell you to wait. Painting over good paint spends your money and buys you nothing.

Why does prep cost what it costs?

Because prep is most of the job. Paint that fails almost always failed underneath. Skipping prep is the fastest way to make a cheap paint job look cheap in two winters.

What if I don’t like it?

You look at it before you pay. If something isn’t right, I fix it. That’s not a policy, it’s just what I’d want.

Are you insured?

Yes — I’ll show you the certificate. Ask, and I’ll bring it to the estimate.
